How To Apply
Online Registration
IELTS Malta offers online registration. You can book your IELTS Test online by following the instructions below:

Download and read our IELTS Test Takers Guide, which contains important information about the test format, the question types and test results. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for test takers under the age of 16.

Go to Book Now and select the module you would like to sit for.

Select Malta from the country/territory drop-down menu, and then select Valletta from the city drop-down menu.

Choose the test date you would like to sit for and make sure that you are available for the speaking test.

You will need to create an account and fill in all details necessary.

Remember that you will be required to possess a valid ID at hand (EU national ID card or Passport). You will need to preset the same ID / Passport that you use on registration and test day.

Lastly, follow the steps to complete the payment.
After you have made your IELTS booking you will receive emails confirming:

The start time of your test and venue address.

Your IELTS Speaking Test date

Your access to the free online preparation courses: Road to IELTS Last Minute Version.
Fees& Payments
The fee per candidate is €270 for 2026. You may pay by cash, credit card, bank transfer or from our online payment system itself. The online application form will be confirmed once payment is received. All payments are processed during the week, so if you pay at the weekend, you will receive confirmation on Monday.
Postponement
Candidates who transfer 15 or more days before Listening, Reading Writing Test Date - Free transfer is allowed.
Candidates who transfer within 5 - 14 days of Listening, Reading Writing Test - an administrative fee up to 25% of test fee paid is charged.
Candidates who transfer within 4 days of Listening, Reading Writing Test Date - no transfer allowed – any transfer during this period is treated as a cancellation.
Cancellation
Candidates who cancel 15 or more days before Listening, Reading Writing Test Date - a refund of 75% of test fee paid can be claimed.
Candidates who cancel within 14 days of Listening, Reading Writing Test Date - test fee is non-refundable.
